Lorraine is a writer, designer, and communications professional working at the intersections of technology, storytelling, and social justice. She has a background in media-based organizing, open knowledge initiatives, and data strategy and policy development. Lorraine leverages design and information visualization as a tool for storytelling and public education. She strives to bring a feminist, anti-oppressive lens to discussions around technology, privacy, and surveillance. In Toronto, she works on facilitating spaces for communities of colour to discuss digital justice issues.
Lorraine previously held positions at Powered by Data, the Right to Research Coalition, and Canada Learning Code. She has an MSc in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour.
