Carissa Yao

UX Design Intern • she/her

Carissa is a UX designer/researcher who's passionate about human-centered, participatory design and communicating powerful but accessible ideas through visual language. She refuels her creative energy through croissants and bike rides up to Grizzly Peak. She's proud of the fact that she TA'd "Human Happiness" class for a semester at Berkeley. Carissa is currently in her second year of master's study in Human-Computer Interaction at University of California, Berkeley. Before that, she worked in product and operations, after completing her bachelor's degree in History at Bryn Mawr College. You can see some of her work at carijyao.com.
